Vogue100 hosted an intimate breakfast at Matches’s Townhouse during London Fashion Week
In the midst of London Fashion Week, on Sunday, September 17, Vogue100 members were joined by Anna Wintour – Condé Nast’s Chief Content Officer and Vogue’s Global Editorial Director -* Lisa Aiken, Executive Director of Fashion and Beauty. The flagship retailer, 5 Carlos Place, hosted an intimate brunch, with a two-course menu curated by Douglas McMaster, founder of Hackney restaurant Silo, served on elegant green cutlery provided by Themis Z.
Upon arrival, attendees were offered Ruinart champagne, a range of fresh juices, and a selection of teas from The Rare Tea Company, before enjoying koji porridge, miso shiitake, egg yolk, frozen yoghurt, strawberries and lemon.
London-based florist Scarlet & Violet was the mastermind of the refreshing cosmos displays, which lined long tables set in the ground floor space, flanked by bars of brand new season Matches and Champions buys.
Guests then witnessed one-on-one design sessions with the team Vogue magazine In private shopping pavilions. A few editors have curated a wish list for their signature pieces for fall/winter 2023 — including cream suits from The Row, an oversized suede Prada jacket, and denim from Matches’ in-house brand, Raey. In terms of accessories, they selected the redesigned Horsebit clutch from Gucci, the Sardine Intrecciato bag from Bottega Veneta, and the Basel slouch bag from Loewe.
