In honor of the announcement of Martyn’s new book Star Style: Interiors of Martyn Bullard, we took a trip down memory lane to pick out some of our all-time favorite projects from the Los Angeles-based designer. See them all below.
1. Winnie Harlow’s relaxing retreat
Winnie Harlow’s dreamy Los Angeles home embodies Martin Lawrence Bullard’s charming, controlled style. Many rooms are monochromatic, showcasing the designer’s skill in creating contrast with texture and proportions.
He describes the place as a “haven of beauty and tranquility” and “a place where a globe-trotting supermodel can completely relax, rejuvenate and rejuvenate.” The space certainly lives up to that statement.

2. Cher’s globally inspired property
In contrast to Winnie’s more simple home, Martine’s design for Cher’s home is vibrant with color, pattern, texture and artfully blended patterns. The contrast demonstrates the versatility of the talented designer.
Cher’s exotic home reads like a world tour. Each room is filled with eclectic furniture, textiles and art from North Africa, Asia, Europe and the Middle East. Martyn carefully juxtaposes vintage and modern elements in each room, creating an exciting and visually appealing space. Cher’s home looks cozy and full of personality.
3. Kylie Jenner’s Barbie haven
Once again, Kylie’s home demonstrates Martine’s unique ability to seamlessly capture the personality of each of his clients in their space.
Kylie Jenner’s LA dining room is pink and incredibly modern. Clean lines, contemporary art and pink leather rule the space. In fact, Martyn custom-upholstered each chair in pink leather that perfectly matches one of Kylie’s lip products. It’s this kind of attention to detail and customer personality that takes his interiors from well-designed to great-designed.
4. Ellen Pompeo’s mid-century modern oasis
Ellen Pompeo’s home is an example of how Martin Lawrence Bullard blends organic and modern design with ease. The black and white stone wall surrounding Ellen Pompeo’s living room provides a dramatic backdrop against which all of the furnishings look extremely luxurious. Bright books and vases in built-in shelves give the space maximum elegance.
5. RuPaul Charles’ Maximum Palace
Only Martin Lawrence Pollard could design a home fit for a ‘drag queen’, and like all things, he pulled this project off with incredible success. It’s impossible to look at RuPaul’s entrance without smiling. The entire house is full of bright colors like pink and red, sparkling details like marble and gold, and fun additions like disco balls as lighting.
