The ‘bigger and better’ Winter Wonderland returns to York Shopping Centre
A popular winter wonderland will return to a York shopping center in the run-up to Christmas this year – and it will be ‘bigger and better’ than ever.
Yorkshire’s Winter Wonderland will return to McArthurGlen Designer Outlet York this winter, organizers have announced.
The award-winning outdoor ice rink, theme park and Santa’s Grotto will be open from Friday 17 November 2023 to Sunday 7 January 2024 with tickets on sale from 10am today (Tuesday 19 September).
Yorkshire’s winter wonderland has been a regular Christmas attraction at York Designer Outlet since 2010, and this year will see its 18th season in York; The event debuted as The Ice Factor on the Eye of York in 2005.

The Ice Factor – the largest outdoor ice rink in the north of England at 975 square metres – will once again have a sparkling 30ft Christmas tree as its centrepiece, surrounded by illuminated trees, log cabins, a rinkside café and a viewing platform.
Organizer Georgie Wood said this year’s fair would be bigger and better than ever, with new state-of-the-art games including the exciting Twist and Waltzer. Vintage Dodgems, dating back to 1937, will return, along with five children’s rides as well as game booths offering prizes each time.
