Rodriguez Design presents the new 63 meter yacht Azua

Spanish studio Rodriguez Design has revealed the first renderings of a new 63-metre-long concept called Azua.

Azua will be built of a steel hull and aluminum superstructure and will be able to cover 4,000 nautical miles at 12 knots and a maximum speed of 22 knots.

Josh Rodriguez, owner of the studio, said it was the perfect yacht for “young owners looking for the thrills of a powerboat and the comforts of a luxury yacht.”

The exterior design of the proposed four-deck yacht will be dark grey, along with “modern and elegant” interiors created by Ignacio Rodriguez. He describes the interior as a “comfortable and welcoming area where the owners can feel at home,” and the initial designs point to light woods, pastel colors and rose gold accents offset by dark charcoal cushions.

Accommodation will be for a party of 10 in five cabins, including an owner’s suite and two VIP suites on the main deck, as well as two double cabins and crew space below deck. Located forward, the full-beam owner’s cabin follows the same layout as the rest of the ship and features LED lights to create a warm and welcoming ambiance.

Notable features include a spacious beach club area, with a 3-metre-wide transformer platform descending into the sea. Inside the Beach Club, guests will be able to make use of the bar area in the centre, and the seating area towards the front bulkhead. There will also be two 4.5 meter retractable balconies on either side for added privacy.

Stairs will lead from the swim platform to the main deck, which has plenty of outdoor seating. Inside, the main salon will feature an open layout to welcome natural light to expand the space. Two sofas will be surrounded by fixed furniture housing the TV, while the dining table will seat up to 12 guests.

The upper deck will include an observation lounge where “the owner and his guests can enjoy a movie night.” Low bulwarks and floor-to-ceiling windows will also allow for expansive sea views, as will the large O-shaped sofa and seating area forward.

More highlights can be found on the sun deck, which is half covered by a hardtop and will feature sun loungers, a bar with a small buffet, and al fresco dining. In front of it, there is a large seating area and a three-metre-wide Jacuzzi surrounded by a sunbathing area.

It will draw power from a pair of MTU engines.
