A London mansion rented by Barbadian star Rihanna has been sold for £27.5 million, or approximately $33.4 million.
According to Savills and Aston Chase, who were the appointed agents,… Diamond An outside family has taken over the singer’s former 6,332-square-foot rental in St. Louis. John’s Wood Park for a record £3,500 (or about $4,250) per square foot. The Fenty Beauty founder reportedly lived in the lavish mansion for approximately two and a half years while she was residing in the UK between 2018 and 2020. London Evening Standard. At the time, the multi-hyphenate billionaire mogul was renting the place for a whopping £18,000 (or $21,870) a week.
“This sale signals a significant rise in demand from Chinese buyers for luxury homes in London,” explains Mark Pollack, co-founding director of Aston Chase, in a press release. “As a result of the inability to travel during the pandemic, many wealthy Chinese and Hong Kong residents are prioritizing an eventual ‘Plan B’ in the event of another unforeseen event that results in the Chinese government restricting movement.”

The white stucco mansion, designed by noted architect John Shaw Jr. and built in 1844 by local mason William Holm Twintman, was initially owned by De Beers diamond magnate Daniel Francis. The fully renovated five-storey house has eight bedrooms, multiple reception rooms, a library and an open plan kitchen. An impressive 21-foot terrace overlooks a sprawling rear garden.
A notable feature is the residence’s gym, which includes a weight room and an exercise studio. While it’s not clear if the new owner intends to expand the residence’s current wellness offerings, the property includes approved plans for an additional spa with a pool, sauna, steam room and massage facilities.
