To help us prepare and up our hosting game, we turned to celebrity interior designer Nate Berkus. The designer, who regularly offers his expert styling advice via his Instagram account, shared a video about glassware, specifically why you don’t need to spend a fortune on glasses.
In the video, Berkus points out two different glasses: an affordable water glass option from CB2 and a much more expensive (though still very pretty) glass. He recommends that choosing affordable glassware that you can use every day—as well as including it in your dinner party tablescapes—is his go-to.
Explaining that when exotic glass inevitably breaks, it wouldn’t be quite as frustrating if it were an expensive piece of glass. “You don’t have to spend a lot of money on clear glassware,” the video concludes.
We definitely agree that choosing affordable glasses that can be used every day and equally at dinner parties is a wise choice.
