Miami Beach eviction linked to Matt Damon is asking for $65 million
A huge selection of beachfront properties in South Florida have hit the market as a package.
And in Miami Beach, three adjacent parcels of land — two of which were previously owned by 53-year-old actor Matt Damon — are looking for a buyer, The Messenger reported.
The offer is asking for a cool $65 million.
In all, the triangular lot of 6020, 6030 and 6050 North Bay Road extends about 245 feet along the island city’s coastline, on one of its posh corners, at least.
Together the three properties offer three docks and over 63,000 square feet of living space.
Dimon previously owned lots 6020 and 6030.
He bought the pair in 2005, paying $10.3 million. The Messenger reports that he sold it to Patrick Markert, CEO of AmeriSave Mortgage Corporation, for $15.4 million in 2014. Markert then bought the house next door for $8.2 million in 2020.
Concessions for sale include a five-bedroom 1935 main estate with a home theater and wine cellar, as well as a two-bedroom guesthouse and pool house.
“A canvas for your aspirations, offering endless possibilities and the opportunity to create your ideal waterfront retreat,” says the listing, held by Julian Cohen of Douglas Elliman.
The Oppenheimer star often makes headlines for his extensive real estate portfolio, which over the years has included an $8.5 million Westchester colonial mansion with its own pond, rope bridges and boardwalks; A Zen-inspired Los Angeles property with 13,500 square feet, its own gym, spa and wine rooms; He paid $16.5 million for a 6,000-square-foot penthouse in Brooklyn Heights, making it the most expensive apartment ever sold in Brooklyn when he bought it in 2018.
In order to move into the Brooklyn Triplex setup, he closed down the entire building and placed a massive crane in the middle of it to move his furniture over 14 floors into the unit.
“There was no sign of Matt, but he had a huge team of contractors and there were bushes and roofs and huge boxes of stuff going up into the air onto the porch,” an area resident told Page Six at the time, in July. 2020. “We’ve all been waiting for the grand piano to come out.”
