Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich will open its doors this winter following a complete multi-million dollar renovation, bringing Mandarin Oriental’s legendary service to the heart of the city.
Founded by Johannes Bohr in 1838, this distinctive hotel was the first large hotel in Zurich. The hotel is located on the famous Paradeplatz square, just steps from high-end fashion houses, the historic Old Town and the charming promenade leading to Lake Zurich. Mandarin Oriental Savoy is set to become the city’s most attractive address, blending timeless elegance, modern sophistication and exceptional service.
Elegant interior design and decoration
The beautifully curated interiors were designed by respected Paris-based interior designer Tristan Auer, fusing historical details with modern style, using a carefully selected color palette that reflects the hotel’s surroundings. Meticulously designed design elements and materials, such as hand-painted silk wallpaper, adorn the rooms and embody a contemporary style that contrasts strikingly with the building’s architecture. Many of the 44 rooms and 36 suites offer private balconies, terraces or decks, offering stunning views of the city’s landmarks and the Swiss Alps. Mandarin Oriental Savoy features some of the largest suites in the city, including a luxurious four-bedroom apartment measuring 275 square metres, offering an exquisite combination of modern luxury and vintage charm.

Intimate and sophisticated, Orsini is a fine Italian restaurant led by consultant chef Antonio Guida, of the two-Michelin-starred restaurant Citta in Mandarin Oriental, Milan. It showcases authentic Italian culinary traditions with a contemporary global approach using the finest and freshest ingredients sourced locally and from Italy. The charming, French-inspired Savoy Brasserie & Bar offers all-day dining and signature cocktails. Guests can also relax at the upscale Mandarin Lounge, or enjoy stunning panoramic views from the new 1838 rooftop bar with a selection of delicious Asian cuisine.
