Inside the Ultra-Luxe N1 mobile home in the new Tampa Bay community

The home may be small, but this tiny Florida home certainly doesn't lack for elegance.

In Tampa, a new tiny house community is encouraging residents to downsize, and since sales launched four months ago, the minimalist neighborhood has almost completely sold out, Business Insider reported Friday. The Oaks was created by Escape Homes, a Wisconsin-based RV builder, an offshoot of Escape Tampa Bay Village and will contain 33 units priced from $95,000 to $249,550 once complete. The crown jewel is the ultra-modern N1 model – a 500-square-foot single-story mobile home and the only remaining mobile home in the neighborhood for sale.

“We love architecture and we love trying new things,” says Dan Dobrowolski, founder of Escape Homes, in a press release. “Nine months ago, we decided to create our own version of a mid-century modern building and the N1 was the result.” Located in Central Oaks, this Richard Neutra-inspired residence features an ultra-sleek metal exterior and a 30-foot glass wall overlooking the private exterior. Inside, there are a few odes to the architect including clean lines, plenty of solid maple, and built-in furnishings. Naturally, the all-electric home also includes some tech features, like voice-activated LED lighting and temperature control from NEST.

At one end, you'll find an open-plan living room equipped with a built-in TV. In addition, there is also a half guest bath and a kitchen equipped with full-size appliances, stone countertops, and a pantry. Down the hall, a frosted glass door closes off the bedroom from the rest of the house. Rest assured, the space feels larger than it really is with enough space to accommodate a king-sized bed, a spacious closet and an en-suite bathroom with a large tiled shower. “The N1 tiny house was designed for those who appreciate the beauty and simplicity of mid-century architecture and the lifestyle that comes with it,” says Dobrowolski.

In addition to the basic N1 cost, owners will have to pay an additional $725 per month to rent the plot. However, these fees include water, trash, recycling, parking and landscaping. The village itself also offers a communal swimming pool and its own version of New York's Central Park. “Customer response to Escape Tampa Bay the Oaks has exceeded our expectations,” he adds.
