Inside the £8million mansion where ITV dating show My Mum, Your Dad was filmed
New dating show My Mum, Your Dad has hit screens, and sees a group of single dads hoping to find love. The series takes place in a stunning mansion, where parents are nominated by their children and watched by them from a secret hideout while their mothers and fathers go on romantic dates.
ITV says: “Over the course of 10 hour-long episodes, audiences will be able to follow single parents, from across the UK, and from all walks of life, as they live together in a stunning countryside resort with one aim: to find true love. Children will have the ability to… Play matchmaker and determine the future love life of their mother or father.
When the show was first introduced, presenter Davina McCall said: “Thank God the secret has finally been revealed. I’ve been dying to tell it. I’m so excited to be hosting Mum, Daddy – this show is going to be his. I’ve invested that in the people in it.”
“Brilliant, vibrant individuals who have already lived amazing lives, with a million life lessons under their belts, looking for their perfect life partner. But also with the most beautiful twist of any show I’ve ever worked on.”
Similar to Love Island, the beautiful location in which the dating series is filmed features heavily in each episode, leading many viewers to wonder where it was filmed. Fortunately, some details are known and ITV has released exclusive photos from inside the palace.
My Mum, Your Dad was filmed earlier this year at a country mansion in Midhurst, West Sussex. The house is reported to be worth £8 million and features two swimming pools, a gym and a sauna, all set in 45 acres of grounds.
The palace also includes a tennis court, spa, and hot tubs. While the exact location of the house has not been revealed, it is believed to be Viola’s House overlooking the South Downs.
Built in the 18th century, Viola House has 11 bedrooms and nine bathrooms, with Davina McCall previously describing the house as “the most romantic countryside location”.
