Comedian Russell Brand is trying to live a “quiet” and “zen” life with his wife Laura and their two children in a stunning country cottage, which he bought in 2016 for £3.3 million.
Russell Brand lives in a stunning country cottage which he paid £3.3 million for in 2016. He now shares his luxury home with his wife, Laura, and their two children. The controversial comedian, who has been vocal about his drug addiction, promiscuity and political views in the past, has recently settled into a “zen” and quiet life with his pregnant wife and their two daughters.
However, it appears that peace has been disturbed over the past 24 hours with Russell having to respond to “serious allegations” after it was announced that a mystery program would be broadcast on Channel 4 Dispatch today. However, at this point it is not known what the allegations, or which celebrities, will involve.
Russell and Laura, who married in 2017, live in the beautiful Henley-on-Thames area of Oxfordshire, in a property they bought in 2016. The six-bedroom ‘chocolate box’ house, called Thatched Cottage, was built in… 1897, built in 1897. It was once the home of Elizabeth Bowes Lyons, a cousin of the Queen Mother. The Cottage is also famous for appearing in two episodes of the sequel Lewis to Inspector Morse.
The 48-year-old is also believed to keep chickens at the 3,938 sq ft Victorian property, which sits on a one-acre plot of land overlooking the River Thames. The comedian previously gave his followers a look inside the stunning residence, which includes a garden and a country kitchen. In 2016, it was reported that the notorious anti-capitalist spent £1 million by adding a luxury swimming pool and private cinema.
In other glimpses seen by followers over the years, it is possible to see the rustic interior design and wood paneling, as well as elegant furnishings and a huge green garden. There is a distinctly rustic feel throughout, with one photo showing Russell sitting in front of a traditional fireplace and a sheepskin rug. In addition to his home, he also purchased a Grade II listed pub in 2020 for £850,000, known as the Crown Inn. The huge pub can accommodate up to 120 guests, and also has a two-bedroom cottage with extra space.
The Get Him to Greek actor is said to have a net worth of over £16 million, and also owns a property in Hollywood. Russell and his wife, Laura, married in an intimate ceremony near their home in 2017. Speaking about married life with his wife, the comedian previously said: “Sometimes I feel like a refugee in my own home with this woman, this quiet, beautiful woman, who in the nicest way possible doesn’t care what… “I do it.” “She’s not interested at all,” he told The Guardian.
