Inside Emmerdale star Sheree Murphy’s Cheshire home with a Mariah Carey-inspired wardrobe
Emmerdale star Sheree Murphy has revealed her crazy Mariah Carey-inspired wardrobe at her home in Cheshire.
Cherie, 48, played Tricia Dingle in the hit ITV soap from 1998 to 2004 and went on to star in films such as Hollyoaks and Neighbours. She previously appeared as a panelist on Loose Women and participated in I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here in 2005 where she came in second place.
Off screen, the TV star is married to Australian rules footballer Harry Kewell and they have four children. Taylor, 22, Ruby, 20, Matilda, 15 and Dolly, 11. Providing an up-close look at life at the house, Cherie gave Abbey Clancy a tour around her palatial pad in Cheshire and there was one room that caught viewers’ attention.
During her appearance on Abbey Clancy: Celebrity Homes, the former Emmerdale star showed off her massive wardrobe which was organized from top to toe. Sherri admitted she was inspired by Mariah Carey as she dressed up aisles of clothes rails and shelves.
The space is neatly organized with coats, jeans, shirts and denim jackets in their own areas under the brightly lit space. The cabinets were white with full length mirrors and an additional mirror detailing down the sides.
A dazzling collection of designer handbags from Chanel, Louis Vuitton and Christian Dior filled the glass shelves. While a selection of shoes from high heels, sneakers and boots are perfectly placed as if in a shop window.
To complete the already impressive space, there was a dressing table where make-up and perfumes were laid out ready to be applied in the large mirror. Florals decorated the luxurious space with more handbags on full display.
The walk-in closet has plush cream carpeting, white walls and soft LED lighting in all the closets. The dressing room is quite sprawling and nothing but luxurious when it comes to getting ready in the morning.
So much so that when Abby walked into the wardrobe, all she could say was, “Oh my God, Maria?” Because she was in disbelief in space. “This is exactly what I built my dressing room on,” Sherri replied, “She’s the Mariah Carey of cribs.”
“Because I wanted to like the arcade.”
The presenter went on to say, “This is a joke,” before adding again, “Oh my God,” as she marveled at the room. In the same segment of the show, viewers also saw a glimpse inside the soap star’s bedroom as they walked to get to the wardrobe.
The bedroom is large in size and has a bed decorated with white bedding and decorative pillows with a chair placed at the end of it. A modern fireplace and flat-screen TV sit in front of the bed while a fluffy white armchair and bench sit in the corner near the large windows.
Celebrity Homes airs on Thursdays at 9pm on ITVBe. You can watch Sherri’s episode here.
