Just over a week later, the house is now on a “conditional” sale.

Built in 1961, the three-bedroom home spans 2,726 square feet on a secluded lot with valley and treetop views.

“I was honored to represent the original owners and buyers in the sale, and I am now selling it to these current owners who purchased it in 2020,” says the listing agent. Todd Michaud, from Keller Williams Realty Hollywood Hills. “This is only the second time it has been on the market. Externally, the beamed and bolted X-frame structure serves as the basis for the unusual A-frame design. Another notable feature is the soaring gables that make the roof and walls look one at the same time.

“The roofline extends all the way to the floor, which is a really nice feature,” Michaud points out. “The design was ahead of its time.”

“There have been some wonderful renovations over the years, but the original vision has remained the same,” says Michaud. “Harry Gesner once said that he considered this house one of the best houses of his career.”

“We received multiple offers on the home within the first two days it was on the market,” Michaud says. “The legacy of Harry Gesner, the fact that there isn’t a lot of inventory overall, and finding a mid-century modern home of this caliber at this price point are just some of the reasons I think this property attracts a buyer so quickly.”

He notes that the unique listing has attracted an eclectic group of interested buyers.

“Early on, there seemed to be a lot of 20s,” he says. “Then we had everyone from businessmen, actors, designers, architects, musicians and even realtors. It’s a very different and very exciting house, so it has a very broad appeal.”
