The new owners of a Martha’s Vineyard mansion will be able to enjoy the sunset from their rooftop pool.

Gerrit Conover and Thomas LeClair of LandVest | Christie’s International Real Estate has listed the property known as “Minaweto” for $26,500,000. The word “Minawetu” is derived from the Wampanoag names meaning “island,” namely “munahee” and home, or “weetyoo,” according to Emily Darosa, a LandVest agent.

The property at 60 Bartimus Luce Road in West Tisbury “is truly an amazing property, unlike anything else in New England,” Conover said.

The property sits on 3.33 acres and has five bedrooms, five full bathrooms and two half bathrooms.

The 5,250-square-foot main house exudes a sleek, contemporary feel from the start: a 12-foot granite bridge spans reflecting pools with two waterfalls cascading into a lower pool.

All areas of the Martha’s Vineyard home that face the water have an unobstructed view of the Elizabeth Islands because of the property’s high bank, Conover said.
