Construction work has begun on modern apartments in Melbourne’s eastern enclave
Every now and then a truly special development comes along, and this stunning new development on the outskirts of Melbourne is one of them.
Located in the heart of Morrumbena in the south-east of the city, Rosella Apartments offer a bold and sophisticated design that will stand out in the leafy suburb.
Located on Rosella Street, the project has already received a lot of attention, with apartment prices starting at $495,000 and construction beginning in November.
Rosella will be a landmark residential development in the village-style suburb of Morrumbena.
Classy design
The architecturally designed Rosella Apartments will provide a luxurious, low-maintenance lifestyle in Morrumbena – not a common offering in the suburb.
“There’s nothing like this around the area – it’s not square or nice,” says Damien Fraser, operations director at Damgar Property Group.
“It’s very sophisticated, and I think it will be a landmark in the area.”
The design is inspired by nearby Hughesdale Station, with a contemporary poured concrete facade.
At seven stories high, Rosella has stunning views of the city and the bay.
The apartments feature a modern, elevated design.
There are rooftop terraces and gardens that will be beautifully landscaped, creating a little oasis in the sky.
At the foot of the building are a range of shops, a trendy wine bar and a café serving your morning espresso.
Village-style suburb
The Melbourne property market is on the rise, and buyers are looking for locations that offer lifestyle and mobility.
PropTrack economist Anne Flaherty says Murrumbena is an area with a lot to offer, located 14 kilometers from the CBD within Glen Eira Council.
“It’s a great place to buy a property; it’s a very family-friendly suburb and it’s well located,” says Flaherty.
“It’s close to major motorways and has two train stations within the postcode. It’s also very close to Chadstone (the fashion capital).”
The project is located directly on Booth Road, which features a village lifestyle that includes cafes, restaurants and many other facilities.

Foodies can choose from many options in the suburb, with destinations such as the famous Middle Eastern grocery store and Oasis Bakery nearby.
Outdoor areas abound with sporting facilities, including Duncan Mackinnon Reserve, Boyd Park, Springthorpe Gardens and Riley Reserve.
Flaherty says it may be difficult to buy into the Murrumbena area because residents tend to stay put.
“There’s not a lot of turnover, and it’s a difficult place to buy units because it’s so tight,” she says.
Great living
To attract discerning buyers, Rosella Apartments feature generously sized residences that offer room to move.
Including one, two and three-bedroom residences, there are plenty of options to suit a wide range of owners, from small homeowners and families to individual professionals.
Style and space abound in Rosella Apartments.
“We kept the interior lighting simple but sophisticated,” says Fraser.
Interior features and finishes include marble countertops, spacious stone countertops, elegant cabinetry, metal faucets, and premium appliances.
“The entrance is also really stunning with a large archway,” he adds.
There is also a dedicated parcel delivery service, a lovely shared roof terrace and garden areas, including a selection of herbs.
There is also a double barbecue terrace and a relaxation area.
Fraser says inquiries for Rosella have been “very high” since its launch – a testament to it being a popular title.
It is recommended to book a viewing as soon as possible to avoid missing out.
