Blue Cross RiverRink Winterfest opens at Penn’s Landing on November 24, 2023 – NBC10 Philadelphia
‘Tis the season to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Independence Blue Cross RiverRink Winterfest.
The festivities begin on Black Friday, November 24, and continue through early 2024. Admission is free and open to the public.
For 30 seasons, the Delaware River Waterfront Corporation and Independence Blue Cross have transformed Penn’s Landing into a winter wonderland for people of all ages. To mark the special anniversary, event organizers said visitors should expect special events, activities, promotions and “some additional surprises.”
Visitors to the 2023-2024 season can enjoy all the classics like the NHL’s only outdoor full-sized ice rink in Philadelphia with stunning waterfront views, a 60-foot-tall Ferris wheel, thousands of twinkling lights, a massive holiday tree, and delicious scents. . Operation hours
Winterfest is open Monday through Thursday from 1pm to 11pm, Friday from 1pm to midnight, Saturday from 11am to midnight and Sunday from 11am to 11pm

skiing
You can enjoy skiing every day of the week. Ice skating tickets cost $5 if you already have skates and $12 if you need to rent. You are not required to purchase tickets in advance but reservations are highly recommended. Click here to purchase tickets.
Skiing is available at a discount for groups of 15 or more. Independence Blue Cross cardholders and employees can get free ski admission for themselves and up to three guests.
If you would like to store your personal items while skiing, lockers are available to rent for $1.
Cabin and fire pit rentals
Enjoy relaxing in one of the heated cabins when visiting Winterfest. The cabins are filled with holiday decor and comfortable seating, perfect for gathering with friends or family.
Single Cabin: $78 per 90 minutes – This sized cabin is suitable for a gathering of 8 people
Spacious Cabin: $125 per 90 minutes – This sized cabin is great for a party of 12-15 people
Guests will have the option to pay as you go for food and beverage options while in the cabins.
Want to sit outdoors but still stay warm? Fire pits are back and are perfect for a relaxing outdoor experience. Fire pits can be booked in advance and seat up to 5 people. It costs $30 per 90 minutes.
