Milestone On Meadow Lane in Southampton, a rare eight-acre waterfront estate originally listed for $175 million has sold in 2021, in what could be the most expensive trade of the year.
According to a social media post by Bespoke Real Estate, which had an exclusive listing, Mylestone at Meadow Lane has officially sold and closed. When Cody Vishinsky, Bespoke’s co-founder, was contacted on Tuesday, he said Bespoke represented the seller exclusively in the deal, but declined to comment further.
The last asking price was $135 million.
The property was the most expensive on the market, despite a 23% reduction in June 2023.

Located on what is known as Billionaires’ Row, this 15,000-square-foot home was owned by former advertising executive and philanthropist Marcia Riklis. The home is located behind two gated entrances on quiet streets in a prestigious estate section, just minutes from the shopping and dining of Southampton Village and the area’s most sought-after beaches.
The modern Tudor-style mansion has 500 feet of ocean frontage with a private driveway and panoramic, unobstructed water views of the Atlantic Ocean and Shinnecock Bay. A private path through Meadow Lane leads to a deep water dock allowing direct access to the water for boating and fishing.
The house has 11 bedrooms, 12 bathrooms and four half-baths, plus an attached caretaker’s cottage. The grand hall separates the formal living room from the dining area with three sets of French doors that open onto the ocean-facing patio. An 800-square-foot, glass-enclosed sundeck with a wet bar is located off the living room.
Intricate tile work, said to be inspired by shimmering ocean views, can be found in the sunroom and kitchen, according to the listing. There are commercial appliances, a large center island and a large pantry.
In 2020, the house next door sold for $84 million when billionaire Ken Griffin purchased the seven-acre property from Calvin Klein. It was the most expensive sale of 2020.
The most expensive deals in the Hamptons for 2023
While the exact selling price for Mylestone on Meadow Lane has not yet been revealed, it could easily take the top spot. Currently in first place is the Hamptons Oceanfront complex which sold for a total of $91.5 million in an off-market deal back in January. Suffolk County deed transfers available Friday show that 32 Windmill Lane and 26 Windmill Lane in East Hampton were sold in two separate deals – $77,775,000 and $13,725,000, respectively – on January 11.
In August, designer Tom Ford purchased the East Hampton house where Jackie Kennedy Onassis spent his summer vacations as a child, known as Lasata, for $52 million.
A property on East Hampton’s Forter Lane traded for $51 million in May. The seller was John Foley, co-founder of Peloton, who bought the property in 2021 for $55 million.
Next comes the sale of 140 homes at Murray Place in Southampton, and then comes another real estate sale brokered by Bespoke, which sold for $41 million.
The house at 51 West End Road in East Hampton fetched $35 million in January. Lloyd and Barbara McCullough, founders of the prestigious McCullough Gallery, have sold their home to their neighbour, Hard Rock Café co-founder Peter Morton.

The most expensive Hamptons deals ever
It remains to be seen how the Mylestone sale on Meadow Lane coincides with the most expensive deals in Hamptons history.
In 2014, hedge fund manager Barry Rosenstein paid the largest sum for a property when he paid $147 million for three separate, but adjacent lots on Forever Lane in East Hampton. The largest properties in 62 More Lane were traded for $97 million.
Jule Pond, a 42-acre waterfront estate in Water Mill, sold for $105 million in October 2021, setting the threshold for the largest trade in Hamptons history for a single property, which was also facilitated by Bespoke.
Also in 2021, just before the New Year, four transactions for the Water Mill property that makes up one of the largest existing waterfront complexes on the South Fork were sold for $118.5 million in 2021, the second-highest combined trade in Hamptons history. Hedgerow Exclusive Properties brokered that deal.
