When you’re as dominant as Shaquille O’Neal was during his 19-year NBA career, you get paid pretty well. Shaq cleverly used his generous NBA salary to create a $400 million empire. However, the big man does not hesitate to spend money if he can get a good deal. One such deal included his 74,000-square-foot Atlanta mansion that he purchased more than seven years ago for $1,150,000.
But the giant Atlanta mansion isn’t the only property the big man has spent big money on. In 1993, Shaq spent a whopping $3.95 million on a house in Orlando during his tenure with the Orlando Magic. Diesel has since parted ways with the 31,000-square-foot mansion, selling the property for a whopping $11 million. Shaquille O’Neal had to go through five real estate agents before he could sell the property due to its huge size and high asking price.

Shaq is very active on Instagram, often sharing interesting clips from around the internet to entertain his fans. The big man recently decided to give the world a little tour of his Atlanta mansion. The Los Angeles Lakers legend shared a video of his 74,000-square-foot property on Instagram.

The property is located in McDonough, just outside of Atlanta. Although the entire property spans 14.3 acres, the 74,000-square-foot main house is located in a smaller area, roughly in the center of the property. There is also a second, smaller home with eight bedrooms and 10 bathrooms.

Shaq purchased the home in 2016 for $1.15 million. The Georgia Palace includes many modern amenities. The property has been remodeled quite a bit since Shaq took over 7 years ago. The main entrance to the mansion has a huge Superman logo attached to it, honoring Shaq’s nickname “Superman” from his playing days. The property has several Shaq-themed entries, similar to his Orlando property he recently sold.

O’Neill has proven to be a very active parent in the children’s lives. The 2000 Player of the Year believes in empowering his children through proper education and training. Many of Shaq’s children also decided to follow his path into the world of basketball. Shaqir is one of them.
